A Training Centre for Excellence in Skating
Learn to Skate
The Richmond Training Centre’s Learn to Skate program is aimed at ages 3 – 15 and is available to anyone who wants to learn how to skate. On-ice instruction will be taught by Skate Canada Professional Coaches. This session includes a 10 minute group warm-up, 30 minute group lesson and a 10 minute cool down.

- A comprehensive series of balance, control and agility skills designed to prepare skaters for all ice sports requiring skates, as well as recreational skating.
- National standardized assessment structure and proven curriculum, with delivery methods that support skater success.
- Provides skaters with a strong foundation for figure skating, hockey, speed skating and ringette.
- Introduces a healthy, lifelong activity at an early age.
- Promotes fun, fitness and participation for skaters of all ages.
Private Lessons With A Professional Coach are a very important aspect of your child’s skating development. Please feel free to contact any of our coaches for private lessons. All of our coaches are members in good standing of Skate Canada and are NCCP certified.
